Serie Luna

I started painting watercolors with my new natural pigments. It felt good to paint on a small scale and on paper again. I did a couple of moon paintings with aeco-printed fabric and I think I will continue this with a series about the magic of the moon.

When I was in high school, I was bullied mainly for two things, my curly hair and y round face. It got to the point were I hated to see my face in the mirror. It is round, very round. In my 30’s, my now husband told me I had a Moon Face, but he did it in a flattering way. He used to sing me Caraluna by Bacilos…I loved that song.

Now I love my round “Caraluna” face, is mine, is unique and resembles the moon, the powerful moon. We have similarities, we illuminate, we take care, we give energy and much more…. I love my Moonface..

Will continue this Moon series for sure! Also, hope you are doing well my friends, take care!!

Esperanza, Hope

Esperanza... This piece was catalyst in my creative process.  She was created with raw emotions, and a lot of passion for life.

Made with a main canvas cloth dipped in foliage and iron (eco printed) then painted with earth pigments, graphite and wax sticks, it embodied all that I am... a precious mess of natural wander.

I love how imperfection teaches us to be patient and to look beauty beyond what we can see and what the system tells us about beauty standards.... Hope... for us, for the world... Life is magical friends, you just have to believe.

Below is a video of my process.

I hope everything is good with you! Make sure to follow my instagram since I’m more active over there. As always, I send you a hug!
