Visual Journal. I do this exercise a lot, I have a couple of journals that I keep close by. Is something different that I add to my art practice, because is not me creating for a product or with art techniques in mind. I’m just expressing. In this demonstration I added a painting I did in a separate paper, but quickly added photos from magazines. Is a Photo-collage Journal. If you are not keen on drawing, try collecting your favorite images, words or quotes from magazines or books, and/ or print memorabilia and make a regular practice of creating an image journal. It can be any theme [travel, soothing images, etc] and a glue stick and start gluing. I then wrote words and phrases that came in to my mind at the moment of making the collage. Visual journaling itself ought to serve that purpose of stress reduction and emotional regulation.
